Pip has a background in management and human resource development including experience as a manager, executive coach and career coach.
For the last seventeen years she has worked for leading Australian and American human resource consultancy firms in the areas of executive and career coaching.
Her coaching and training expertise has assisted many individuals, including middle managers and senior managers to achieve their goals.
Pip facilitates big picture thinking and creative problem solving. She focuses on helping people to live authentically and seek alignment between their valued goals and their work. She is a principled and determined professional who assists staff to see behind the obvious and take new perspectives.
Pip holds a Masters in Organisational Coaching from Sydney University, a Certificate in Executive Coaching and a Graduate Diploma in Adult Learning.
She is an accredited MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) practitioner and also qualified to administer the Apollo, Hogan, Leadership Circle and OPQ Personality Instruments.
She has completed career and management training at Mt Eliza Business School, the Career Self Reliance Program from Career Action Centre in USA and the Careers Coach Certification from the Career Planning and Adult Development Network. She holds a Workplace Trainer and Assessor Certificate IV TAA. She has completed Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Facilitator Training.
As well as working in her own business, Pip has worked for HR consultancies including Ernst and Young, Morgan and Banks, Reddin Consulting, Lee Hecht Harrison, Audrey Page and Associates, Randstad Australia, BPI Group and Yellow Edge. Her background prior to Consulting was in the community sector where she started work as a Trainer then progressed to holding the position of Manager and finally CEO. This experience of running a business and managing staff, as well as being accountable to a Board, means that Pip has a good understanding of business and leadership issues. She has lectured in Strategic Management at University of Technology, Sydney.
Coaching and Training Approach
Pip uses a wide range of interventions to affect change, incorporating solution focused and cognitive behavioural approaches as well as mindfulness based/Acceptance Commitment approaches.
It is her style of encouraging, supporting and challenging which enables individuals to identify ‘stretch goals’ and achieve them.
Mindfulness Based Training and Coaching
Pip worked as a Mentor on a 1 year Mindfulness Training Course that was delivered in Sydney in 2011. She has delivered ‘Introduction to Mindfulness training to staff at Wollongong University over a period of 3 years. She incorporates Mindfulness into all her coaching and has been practising mindfulness and meditation for the last thirty years. She has developed a unique coaching approach which incorporates Mindfulness as an aid in developing Emotional Intelligence. Her work in this space is underpinned by the latest findings in Neuroscience.
A couple of months ago I decided to seek help getting unstuck from the pattern of job search burnout. Pip served as my mentor, through her coaching and analysis I got focused and motivated. I am now employed in a position I am excited about and my life has literally turned around. Thank you Pip.
